Beverly was born on July 27, 1942, in Sheffield, IA, to Elmer and Velma (Fuller) Pope. She had six siblings that she loved dearly. Beverly graduated from Sheffield High School in 1960.

Bev married Harry Gamble on March 28, 1961 at the United Methodist Church in Hampton, IA.  Beverly and Harry were married for 54 years before Harry’s passing in April of 2015.Their true love story was a legacy of love and caring for others. They had three children: Gay (Mark) Ernster, Faye (Pat) Pleggenkuhle and Melody Gamble. Their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the highlights of their lives. Beverly and Harry spent many afternoons and evenings going to all of the various activities to cheer everyone on. They also fostered more than 40 children throughout the years.

Beverly was an extremely talented person. She was a seamstress and could sew anything! She made many pageant gowns, prom dresses, wedding dresses, children’s clothing, quilts, costumes, and even Barbie clothes. She was also an amazing artist that loved to draw and use chalk pastels in her artwork.

Bev was an avid race fan, local and NASCAR, and loved to spend time with her family at the races. She followed her dad, brothers, and nephews as a fan, cheering them on for many years. She was also a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Indiana Fever women’s basketball team.

Beverly’s smile came so easily and was a reflection of her warm and loving personality. She was always helping and taking care of others. She had a great sense of humor and loved to visit with her family and in-laws over a cup of coffee.
