Private Family Services for Timothy L. Thompson, 65, of Armstrong, IA, formerly of Fox Lake, MN, will be held at a later date.
Tim passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his home in Armstrong. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Timothy Lee Thompson was born on June 10, 1959, to Alvin “Bud” and Alma (Pochardt) Thompson in Fairmont, MN. He graduated from Sherburn High School and then attended VoTech College in Jackson to be an electrician. Tim served in the United States Army from June 1977 to June 1980.
Tim worked hogs for many years and later went to work for Corn Plus in Winnebago where he retired from in 2017. He lived in Fox Lake, MN, for many years until moving to Armstrong in 2023.
Tim enjoyed being outside fishing and camping and he loved to plan building projects. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melissa (Joe) Waller of Armstrong, IA; three grandchildren, Madison Waller, Hailey Waller, and Johnathon Waller; sister, Tammy (Dave) Hill of Fox Lake, MN; brother, Tom Thompson of Fairmont, MN; special friend, Diane Paskey; and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Alma Thompson.
